Reflexology Therapy

Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD)

Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD) is a ground breaking and multi-award winning technique, which can be used to help reduce secondary lymphoedema after treatment for breast cancer. RLD is also useful for clients with other (non-cancer related) auto-immune inflammatory disorders. This reflexology technique focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet and its aim is to cause an effect on the lymphatic system in the body.  RLD is a unique sequence that had been researched and developed by Sally Kay.

What happens during a treatment?

This one hour calming treatment comprises a tea-tree infused foot cleanse, hot stone foot massage, reflexology and concludes with a refreshing foot spritz. Heated eye masks are available on request to further enhance your treatment.  Experiences with reflexology sessions vary from a general feeling of relaxation, to a sense of "lightness" or tingling in the body, as well as feelings of warmth and a sense of energy movement within a specific body area. Congested reflex areas of the foot may feel tender when treated, as the condition improves with several reflexology sessions, so will the soreness on the corresponding reflexes. The reflexologist stimulates the nervous system to do the work of balancing and releasing. The goal is to bring the whole body into balance thereby bringing relief from any issues. If reflexologists find pain, congestion, or tightness during the session, they will apply pressure to work on bringing the body back into balance.
